Applying for a Work Permit and Visa for Employment Purposes
A 3rd-Country National without a Permanent Residence Permit needs to have a Work Permit and a Visa for Employment Purposes in order to get a job. We can apply on behalf of the company for a Work Permit and help the employee with all the paperwork on his side. This for example includes having all diplomas and certificates officially translated. The entire process at the Labor Office takes about 6 weeks, and after receiving the Work Permit, we can apply for / renew a Visa with as purpose of stay employment. If the Applicant is obliged to apply in his home country (usually the case for non-Western 3rd Countries), the Visa Application process may take another 3-4 months (!)
Applying for a Work Permit costs from 7.500 CZK,
Applying for a Visa for Employment Purposes costs from 5.000 CZK.
Contract Negotiation: Employee vs Trade License (Živnostenský List)
Many times there is the choice between a job as employee or working as freelancer on a trade license (the person does not need a Work Permit then).Alexio can take look at the offer, terms and conditions and calculate what is most beneficial for the employer and the employee, and -if applicable - register a živnostenský list or set up an s.r.o.
Registration at Labor office, Social office and Health Insurance
Alexio registers (foreign) employees at the labor office, social office and health insurance, so that the employer doesn't have to do this long and complicated process. Unlike other countries, the process is needlessly complex, even for czech employees, and the penalties for wrong / incomplete employee registrations quite high.If you are already working as employee, we can also check if your employer registered you properly to avoid surprises later on.
It is not uncommon for the social office to check companies every 2 years or so. If they discover something, this usually results in having to pay penalties.
If, however, Alexio checks the company in an early stage, discovers mistakes and 'voluntarily' announces at the social office that mistakes have been detected and we are willing to fix them, in most cases our customer walks away without a fine (or a much smaller one).
Labor Office Registration (for EU citizen) from 1.500 CZK,
Labor Office Registration, including Work Permit from 7.500 CZK,
Social / Health Registration of Employee from 1.500 CZK
Filing Income Taxes, Tax Optimization, claiming Benefits
An employee is not obligated to file a tax return for himself, if the company registered him correctly. However, very often employers do not fill in the taxreturn correctly (completely), so the employee misses out on benefits. Also, if an employee worked only part of the year, or has multiple sources of income, or income from outside Czech Republic (there is an obligation for each tax resident to declare the global income) a personal income tax return must be filed, see also If you would like us to do your Personal Income Tax Return we kindly ask you to contact us well in advance, because things tend to get busy close to due date, 31.03.2010.
Annual Income Tax Return (employee / individual) 2.500 - 5.000 CZK,
Late filing of Tax Return from 5.000 CZK
