About the domains ExpatAccountant.com - formerly Alexio.cz

It can be challenging for a foreigner to comply to the requirements of the Czech authorities.
I have experience first-hand, because I'm not Czech (I'm Dutch), so when I started my first business in Prague in 2006 I was amazed how much more complicated it was then in any other country I have been doing business in.

Over time I noticed that virtually every foreigner is facing the same hurdles. Apart from the language (speaking English doesn't automatically mean: understanding English), even a bigger barrier is often a foreigner's concept of what is logical and right vs. 'the Czech way'. Another source of confusion are the often-changing rules and regulations, and information on the Internet often being outdated and / or incomplete.

Our core business is Accounting / Taxes / Business Consultation for the foreign self-employed and small business owners.

I very well recognize the typical issues expats run in to, and I am confident the Exacct team is able sort out most of them, not only because of our experience with the Czech burocracy but also because our team members all have years of experience, also in senior positions.

Next to that, people come to us with all kinds of (unexpected) issues they run into. The type of business you own, what kind of visa / residence permit and health insurance you have, it all has an impact on your residence in Czech Republic. I have been helping people out since 2008 - I've lost track of the amount of hours of consultations, but by now it must be in the thousands.

• 2008 - Beginnings: Alexio.cz Expat Accountant started activities, first as self-employed, later as the Alexio.cz sro company,
• 2013 - Addition: the Tradelicense.cz website for self-employed foreigners was launched,
• 2023 - Transition: the now former business partner of Alexio.cz sro decided to go separate ways, offering services though HJ Taxes sro *,
• 2024 - Rebranding the domain Alexio.cz to ExpatAccountant.com *, expanding services with a CZ tax advisor, a CZ lawyer, a US CPA, a new office with reception, we're better than ever!

* Note: The domains Alexio.cz / ExpatAccountant.com / TradeLicense.cz and the associated companies (Alexio Consultancy sro and Alexio Consultancy LLC) have been and are 100% owned by Ing. Roald van de Munt. The companies HJ Taxes sro and HJ Accounting sro, owned by the former business partner are not in any way related, associated or cooperating though any of the domains, although unapproved invoices and emails in 2023 sent from the Alexio.cz domain (syphoning revenue away and purposely moving customers away to a different company without consent), suggested otherwise.
After this, the rebranding from the domain Alexio.cz to ExpatAccountant.com became a necessity because HJ Taxes / HJ Accounting kept misrepresenting themselves as Alexio.cz. Should you have any questions about this matter - please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
